Tadalafil is a generic medication commonly used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED), benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) symptoms, and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). It operates by enhancing blood flow to specific areas, notably the penis for ED, aiding men in achieving and maintaining erections. Dosage & Administration

• ED: Typically 10 mg before sexual activity (max 1 dose/day).

Side Effects

• Common: Headache, upset stomach, back/muscle pain, flushing, nasal congestion.
• Serious: Sudden vision/hearing loss, chest pain, irregular heartbeat, priapism (prolonged erection), low blood pressure. Seek immediate medical attention if serious effects occur.

Warnings & Precautions

• Nitrates: Do NOT take with nitrates (e.g., nitroglycerin) due to dangerous blood pressure drop.
• Heart Conditions: Use cautiously with history of heart problems, stroke, or irregular heartbeat; requires medical evaluation.
• Kidney/Liver: Dosage adjustments may be needed for impaired function.
• Priapism: Seek immediate help for erections lasting over 4 hours.
